A news to all Credit Card/Debit card users. From August 1st 2009 onwards, a new rule was implemented on Card usages. We ARC Travels are trying to introduce or guide our customers in this process and we are trying to reveal the facts behind this process. Most of the online users find it difficult while booking and we believe that this will be quite handy for them.
As per Reserve Bank of India[RBI], all Credit Card and Debit Card users in India must have an Authentication before processing the online transaction. This is to ensure the secured way of processing online transaction.
The current process flow is like this. After entering our Credit Card / Debit Card number, the system is directing us to VBV process or MSC process. In this page the system is requesting us a Password details[ This is the authentication process here]. So each online user must register with their concerned bank to get their password details. Till now if you have not registered, Please check your concerned bank's website and you can register.
It is a simple process. For Visa Cards, the checking is termed as VBV( Verified by Visa ) and for Master Cards it will be Master Card Securecode(MSC). If you have any problem with the account creation process, please contact your bank. Here is a list of Banks that connect the website.
